STUDENT INSIGHTS AFTER A YEAR OF YOGA - PART 4

One thing is for sure… the breath

Is it possible to build up self confidence through yoga? Slowly after a year of yoga I have felt capable of making more conscious decisions. In life, deciding which path to take is difficult. The fear of choosing lies in the possibility of disapointment. If that fear wins then you spend your life letting others decide for you; you just ride a wave to wherever it takes you. The capacity to take charge of your life, to make choices and decide comes from being in touch with yourself, from being able to listen to your feelings and from knowing that YOU ARE and that whatever the outcome you will always have yourself and your breath from which to build up.

angst turns to wisdom. if only we could all rejoice in the simple fact that the past is just that; past and over.

yoga works. but like most things, it takes time and more importantly dedication and discipline. notice the title - insights after a YEAR of yoga. this isn't a once a-weeker either, more like a 4 time a-weeker, if not more.

i'm learning. and somewhere deep down i know you're right. it has something to do with that feeling of needing to cry after most practices. what *is* that all about anyway?!!
